Addressing a meeting of the World Mostazafeen (downtrodden) Assembly, president of the University of Islamic Denominations, Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, slammed the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain for signing normalization deals with the Tel Aviv regime.
He added, though, that the two Arab countries had already had ties with Israel and have only made it official now.
Hosseini further said Saudi Arabia is behind such moves, adding that Riyadh has made Abu Dhabi and Manama to start the process in order to downplay the heinousness of such an action.
Nasser Abu Sharif, the representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, also addressed the meeting, saying certain rulers in the Muslim world are Muslim in name only.
He said the reason behind normalization bids is that such rulers want to remain in power.
Abu Sharif added that the faithful should unite against the policies of arrogant powers and strive for the rights of the oppressed, including Palestinians.
